How to use a Gua Sha and what are the benefits
Start by applying a facial oil or serum to a cleansed face, neck, and décolletage. Work according to the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and use a gentle hand to carefully glide the Gua Sha over the skin. The Gua Sha can be used at home for a nourishing treatment of the jawline, neck, cheeks, eyebrows, and forehead.
Jawline:
Make stroking movements and glide the tool from the chin upwards along the jawline.
Neck:
Apply light pressure at the base of the neck, just above the collarbone, and move the Gua Sha upwards towards the jawline.
Cheeks:
Apply gentle pressure from the center of the face and move the tool outwards towards the ears. Be extra careful and gentle around the sensitive skin around the eyes.
Eyebrows:
Gently stroke along the eyebrow line, starting from the center of the face and working towards the temples.
Forehead:
Gently move the tool upwards, from the eyebrows towards the hairline.
When using the Gua Sha at home, we recommend working with a gentle touch. Avoid pulling or dragging the skin, so that the treatment remains harmonious and nourishing, fully in line with the principles of natural Chinese medicine.
